Time flies when you're feeling stressed.
Which has been the theme of my life lately.
Student stress has been the top of my list.
I know I've said it before but I'm really considering not doing a student program in the fall....or at least a very strict one, on my terms only.
I think we've finally ironed out some of the kinks because I can't take anymore sleepless nights over it.
In other less stressful news, I've been trying to keep up with my yoga practice. Not as much at home (probably because YWA has had less videos to inspire me this month) but moreso at the studio on weekends.
Will probably not be able to do it this month much, but I'm also aiming to get back to a solid 3 day a week studio practice.
Anyways, some stuff I learned (or re-learned) this weekend at the studio:
You gotta let shit go when the studio is packed, especially when it's packed with new people. The next day, class is usually back to normal.
Our feet hold us up all day. We need to give them rest.
Rest. Close your eyes. Lay down.
Breath. It's our life force.
I love wind-removing pose. It's the best self-hug.
Standing bow is the one pose you should definitely play in and have fun with.
And nothing new but.....when your body is fighting going to class physically and emotionally....just go.
I've found I've never regretted it (well, except that one time when I was seriously physically ill but that's different).
I hope you have a great Monday everyone.
I hope you get some yoga in.
I hope all your stress melts away.
With every problem there lies a solution. Even if it's one we are not necessarily comfortable with. Not everything needs to be made into a problem either ;). Let that shit go....
